Basement Flooding
Water accumulation on the basement floor, caused by intrusion through cold joints, rendered the area susceptible to mold growth, wood rot, damage to appliances and stored items, and the development of musty odors.

Failing Sump Pump
Despite having a sump pump installed, its inefficiency resulted in basement flooding. A more robust and reliable sump pump system was necessary to ensure continuous and effective water collection and removal from the basement.

Failing Wooden Crawl Space Supports
The home's structural integrity was compromised due to insufficient crawl space support, as demonstrated by the splitting wooden post in this photo. This deficiency resulted in sagging and bouncy floors.

Crawl Space Support Footings with Rebar
Our team commenced the project by establishing footings for the SmartJack crawl space support system. Concrete and soil were excavated to allow for the installation of durable concrete reinforced with rebar, providing additional support to the SmartJacks.

Leveled Support Jack Footings
An additional layer of concrete is poured over the rebar and leveled, creating a robust base for the installation of the SmartJacks. Once the concrete has cured, the SmartJacks can be securely positioned on these reinforced footings.

Durable Support Jacks
The SmartJacks are anchored into the foundation and connected to the main beams. Given the system's full adjustability, we meticulously installed the SmartJacks to ensure optimal lifting, leveling, and stabilization of the floors above, thereby restoring the home's structural integrity.

Basement Perimeter Drainage
WaterGuard was installed around the entire perimeter of the basement to intercept water at cold joints before it enters the basement space. The installation process involves chipping out concrete along the basement perimeter, placing the WaterGuard system within crushed stone to optimize water flow, and securing it with concrete. The WaterGuard system integrates seamlessly with the sump pump system to ensure efficient removal of collected water.

Basement Surface Drainage
In areas where immovable objects, such as this oil tank, are present, TrenchDrain surface drainage is employed. This system integrates with the WaterGuard system to channel water efficiently to the sump pump. Additionally, TrenchDrain collects water from the surface of the basement floor, ensuring comprehensive water management.

Sump Pump with Battery Backup System
The TripleSafe Sump Pump guarantees continuous water removal from the home with its two powerful pumps and a battery-powered backup pump. These pumps activate as needed to ensure all collected water is efficiently expelled from the home. The airtight sump pump liner prevents moisture from escaping the basin and protects the system from clogging due to debris.

Frozen Discharge Line Prevention
Water is expelled from the basement via a discharge line. As the discharge line exits the home, IceGuard is installed to ensure uninterrupted water flow even in freezing temperatures, preventing blockages. This feature further protects the waterproofing system from backups and potential basement flooding. The discharge line is then buried to maintain the lawn's aesthetics.

Basement Dehumidifier
The SaniDry XP is a powerful dehumidifier that not only eliminates moisture but also actively removes mold spores and toxins, reducing the risk of wood rot and musty odors. By ensuring high-quality air in the basement, it enhances the air quality throughout the entire home.
