Preparing Basement for Perimeter Drainage System

Concrete was removed from the perimeter of the basement to allow for the installation of our WaterGuard perimeter drainage system.

Our WaterGuard perimeter drainage system was installed to collect water from the soil surrounding the basement before it is able to enter the space. The system was installed within crushed stone to facilitate proper drainage to the sump pump.

To install our TrenchDrain surface drainage system, our crew meticulously chips out concrete around immovable utilities.

Our TrenchDrain surface drainage system was installed to reroute water around immovable utilities. This system integrates seamlessly with the WaterGuard system to create one flow of water to the sump pump. Tape is placed on the top of the TrenchDrain system before being concreted in place to prevent concrete from entering the grates during installation.

WaterGuard is concreted in place after being flood tested. The concrete is leveled to grade, making the drainage system barely noticeable one the concrete has dried.

Similar to the WaterGuard system, TrenchDrain is concreted in place. The tape is then removed, revealing a perfectly installed system.

Surface Drainage in Front of Bulkhead Steps

TrenchDrain was also installed in fron of the basement's bulkhead steps to capture any water that could potential enter from that area.

Basement Wall Vapor Barrier

To address water intrusion through the fieldstone walls, we installed our CleanSpace vapor barrier. This eliminates moisture coming through, which eliminates humidity, musty odors, and wood rot. CleanSpace filters any moisture straight to our WaterGuard system.

Sump Pump with Battery Backup

The UltraSump Sump Pump was installed 24 inches under the home's foundation. As WaterGuard filters water to the sump pump's basin, this system activates to remove water from the home.

Sump Pump Finished Installation

The UltraSump is concreted in place and the battery is installed. This battery offers reliable protection that water can still be removed from the home in the event of a power outage. If a severe storm knocks out the home's power, the basement is still protected from flooding!
