Broken Sump Pump
The sump pump previously installed in the home was unable to remove water, exposing the basement to leaks. This was extremely annoying for the homeowners, as they utilized the basement for storage space.
Leaky Foundation Walls
The foundation walls of the basement were prone to mold growth due to the humidity that the water seepage created.
Basement Drainage System
WaterGuard was installed to the perimeter of the basement to intercept water before it could come accessible to the space. The water that is collected is then distributed to the sump pump system to be removed from the home.
Basement Surface Drainage
In some areas of the basement, it is more practical to install a surface drainage system rather than our WaterGuard system. That's where TrenchDrain comes into play. TrenchDrain was installed at the bulkhead entrance and around immovable utilities to collect and reroute water. This system connects seamlessly with the rest of the drainage system.
CleanSpace Vapor Barrier
The CleanSpace vapor barrier acts as an encapsulation system to prevent moisture coming through leaky foundation walls. By reducing moisture, the basement is safeguarded from humidity, musty odors, wood rot, and more!
Sump Pump with Battery Backup and Dehumidifier
The TripleSafe Sump Pump offers three layers of protection for water removal from the home, including a primary, secondary, and battery-powered backup pump. As water fills in the basin, these pumps activate in relation to how high the water rises. Water from the drainage system drains directly into the basin. The SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier was also installed to further ensure that humidity levels remained at bay, especially important for a finished basement space. The moisture collected by the SaniDry Sedona drains directly into the sump pump.
Water Removal from Basement
The water is ejected from the basement through a discharge line. As the discharge line reaches the exterior of the home, IceGuard is installed to prevent potential blockages that can back up the system and cause the sump pump to overflow, especially during harsh winters. A discharge line is installed to the end of the discharge line to prevent water pooling on the surface of the lawn, therefore preventing a soggy yard. The discharge line is then buried, preserving the yard's aesthetic.
