Sump Pump Not Working
The combination of a broken sump pump and leaky fieldstone foundation walls created a constantly wet basement. Personal items being damaged and the annoying cleanup process were the main concern, but the basement was also susceptible to mold growth and structural damage in the future.
Basement Vapor Barrier and Drainage System
CleanSpace was installed on the basement walls, trapping out moisture. This allowed for water to be filtered right into our WaterGuard system. WaterGuard is installed around the interior perimeter of the basement, capturing water before accessible to the basement. The water is then delivered to the sump pump for removal from the home.
Basement Surface Drainage
Our TrenchDrain surface drainage system was utilized to reroute water around immovable utilities. This system connects to WaterGuard, creating a unified path for water to flow to the sump pump.
Sump Pump with Battery Backup
As water fills in the UltraSump Sump Pump's basin, the pump activates to remove water out of the basement. The UltraSump offers around the clock protection with its battery backup pump. This ensures that the basement is protected at all times, including power outages. The dehumidifier the homeowner already owned tied in seamlessly to our system, draining condensation automatically.
Discharge Line Freeze Prevention
Water is pumped out of the home through a discharge line. As the discharge line reaches the exterior of the home, IceGuard is fixed to it. This mechanism prevents freezes and clogs in the discharge line, eliminating the possibility of the line backing up and causing a basement flood. LawnScape is installed at the end of the discharge line to disperse water effectively, rather than pool on the surface of the lawn. The discharge line is then buried.
