Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Basement Floor Seepage Repair in Methuen, MA
A homeowner in Methuen, Massachusetts, encountered water infiltration through the foundation floor amid heavy rainfall, leading to a cumbersome cleanup as the basement accumulated up to an inch of water. Seeking a lasting solution for a dry basement, they contacted Erickson Foundation Solutions.
Our Design Specialist, Tom Armano, suggested the installation of WaterGuard perimeter drainage, TrenchDrain surface drainage, and a SuperSump sump pump for basement waterproofing. This system aims to intercept water at the foundation's perimeter before it reaches the basement, direct the water flow to the sump basin, and then expel the water from the house through an external discharge line. The installation team executed the setup with meticulous precision and efficiency.
Upon completion of the project, our crew leader, Ryan Champagne, conducted a final walkthrough with the homeowner. He presented the work and addressed any remaining questions, leaving her delighted with the end result.
WaterGuard Perimeter Drainage
WaterGuard is fitted along the interior perimeter of the basement to collect water and channel it to the sump pump system.
TrenchDrain Surface Drainage
In locations like doorways where a perimeter drainage system is not feasible, a surface drainage system is employed to gather water. The TrenchDrain system links to the WaterGuard system, ensuring the collected water is directed to the sump pump.
SuperSump Sump Pump
A sump basin is constructed at the lowest point in the basement to facilitate a downward flow of water. When water collects in the basin, it is then pumped out of the house via an exterior discharge line.
