Water Entering Basement by Bulkhead Door
This photo shows the location of where water entered the basement.
TrenchLock Surface Drainage Installation
The crew chipped out along the perimeter of the basement to make space for WaterGuard and TrenchLock. The balls seen on the TrenchLock system prevent radon, a dangerous gas, from entering the home. The system is encased in crushed stone to prevent proper flow of water to the sump basin.
TrenchLock Finished Install
TrenchLock was installed around the furnace since WaterGuard was inaccessible to install behind it. WaterGuard connects to TrenchLock to provide one steady flow of water to the sump basin.
TrenchLock Installed in Front of Bulkhead Steps
TrenchLock was also installed in front of the bulkhead steps.
TripleSafe Sump Pump and WaterGuard Installation
Once the WaterGuard system delivers the water to the sump basin, the TripleSafe sump pump system pumps water out of the home. Our three-pump system is composed of a primary, secondary, and battery-powered backup pump to ensure that water gets properly pumped out of the home at all times.
Exterior Discharge Line
The exterior discharge line is the vehicle that delivers water out of the home. The sump pump pumps water through this PVC plumbing system to a safe location that can no longer affect the basement. IceGuard was installed to the discharge line to prevent water from freezing in the pipes, ultimately preventing a basement flood. A bubbler pot was installed to the end of the discharge system to better distribute water, preventing puddling and offering an attractive finish.
