Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Adding Perimeter Drainage to an Existing Sump Pump in Dracut, MA
A homeowner in Dracut, Massachusetts experienced seepage around the basement bulkhead door. The sump system already installed was unable to capture the water. This created large puddles on the basement floor. Simply looking to eliminate the cleanup process, he reached out to Erickson Foundation Solutions.
Our Design Specialist, Tom Armano, recommended installing WaterGuard perimeter drainage and TrenchDain surface drainage to capture water along the border of the basement where the water entered. This system was installed to deliver the water to the existing sump basin, and have it removed from the home by the already existing sump pump.
Now that a waterproofing system has been installed to direct water to the sump basin, this homeowner will no longer need to dread the cleanup process.
Perimeter Drainage
WaterGuard is installed along the bottom of the foundation wall to collect water and deliver it to the sump basin.
Surface Drainage
TrenchDrain is installed in front of the bulkhead stairs since WaterGuard is inaccessible in that location. TrenchDrain connects to the WaterGuard system to create one continuous flow of water to the sump basin.
Connecting Sump Pump to Perimeter Drainage
WaterGuard is installed directly to the sump basin.
