Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Water Puddling on Basement Floor in Concord, NH
A homeowner in Concord, New Hampshire is considering selling the home and was worried that the leaky basement would hurt the property value. Water seeped through the foundation every time there were heavy rains, causing water to puddle on the basement floor. Looking to maintain property value, they reached out to Erickson Foundation Solutions.
Our System Design Specialist, Anthony Brancato, recommended installing WaterGuard perimeter drainage and TripleSafe sump pump system to waterproof the basement. This system keeps the basement dry by collecting water along the perimeter of the basement before being exposed to the basement walls or floor. The WaterGuard system is designed for water to flow into a sump basin. From there, it is pumped out of the home through a discharge line.
Knowing that his basement is safe from leaking and flooding, this homeowner now had peace of mind going about the home selling process.
Perimeter Drainage
WaterGuard is installed to collect water before entering the foundation. It is set in crushed stone and then cemented in place to ensure proper flow to the sump basin.
Surface Drainage
TrenchDrain surface drainage was used to reroute water around the staircase. This system ties into WaterGuard to continue the flow of water to the sump pump.
Sump Pump
Once water enters the sump basin, the TripleSafe sump pump system expels water from the home. This three-pump system is capable of pumping high levels of water out of the basement, even during loss of power thanks to our battery-powered backup pump!
Exterior Discharge Line with IceGuard
The exterior drainage line extends far away from the home to make sure water is disposed of in a safe location. It is buried under the ground for an attractive finish. IceGuard is installed within this plumbing system to prevent pipes from freezing.
