Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Basement Waterproofing in North Reading, MA
A homeowner in North Reading, Massachusetts was experiencing water pooling in one corner in their basement. After installing a trench, water started leaking through the foundation on the other side of the basement. Looking to get full perimeter protection to keep the basement permanently dry, the homeowner reached out to Erickson Foundation Solutions.
Our Design Specialist recommended installing WaterGuard perimeter drainage and our TripleSafe sump pump system to waterproof the basement. This system captures water where the basement walls meet the basement floor and delivers water to the sump pump. The sump pump then pumps water out of the home through an exterior discharge line.
With the system in place, the basement is fully waterproofed. This homeowner no longer has to deal with the annoying cleanup process and has peace of mind.
Interior French Drain
Concrete is chipped along the basement footing to make space for the WaterGuard system. It is laid in stone to ensure proper flow, tested, and then cemented in place.
Rerouting Water
Water is rerouted around the oil tank to continue the flow of water to the sump basin.
Sump Pump Water Removal
WaterGuard connects to the sump pump system to fill the sump basin with water, which is then pumped out of the home with our three-pump system. A battery-powered backup pump ensures that water will always be removed from your home, even during a power outage!
Safe Drainage
In order for water to exit the home, the exterior discharge line is installed to the TripleSafe. This plumbing system was installed with IceGuard, a mechanism that prevents frozen pipes during freezing temperatures.
