A homeowner in Manchester, New Hampshire, has lived in their home for 4 years and had noticed water entering their basement since the year they bought the home. Since then the basement has flooded 4 times. They decided to call EFS for a free inspection of their basement to find a solution. Our Design Specialist Victor Tapia met with the homeowner examined the basement and recommended installing a perimeter drainage system that works with monolithic slabs. Our system will have 141 feet of WaterGuard, a TripleSafe sump pump, IceGuard, 25 feet of exterior drainage, and a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier.
Our installation team began by chipping out concrete so we could install our perimeter drainage and sump pump. We integrated the drainage into the sump pump. We then plumbed the pump to the exterior of the home where we installed our IceGuard and exterior drainage to carry water away from the foundation of the home. After the exterior drainage was installed we returned to the basement to cover the perimeter drainage with concrete to lock the system in place. While the concrete was curing the team installed our SaniDry Sedona next to the TripleSafe.
After the installation, the team then did a final walkthrough with the homeowners to show them everything we installed. We answered all the questions they had. They were very pleased with the results of the project and were thrilled they didn't have to worry about water flooding the basement anymore.
