A homeowner in Londonderry, New Hampshire built their house in 1983. 35 years ago, their basement had flooded, so they had a sump pump installed. The pump worked well for almost 20 years, but eventually began to leak occasionally. Since the homeowner used the basement as storage and wanted to keep the space dry and humidity-free, they reached out to EFS for a free inspection.
Our Design Specialist, Issac Hernandez, met with the homeowner and performed a full inspection of the basement. After the inspection, Issac suggested installing a new SuperSump, IceGuard, WaterGuard, TrenchDrain, and SaniDry XP dehumidifier to protect the basement from water and moisture.
The installation team started by removing the old sump pump and chipping out concrete to install our bigger SuperSump and perimeter drainage. They used a jackhammer to break up the concrete and then cleaned up the debris. Once the pump and drainage were in place, they plumbed the sump to the exterior of the home and installed our IceGuard and exterior drainage. After installing the exterior drainage, they buried the drainage line in the yard to carry water away from the foundation. Next, the team poured concrete over the interior drainage and around the sump pump to lock the system in place. Lastly, they installed the SaniDry Dehumidifier to control the humidity inside the basement while the concrete was curing.
The homeowner was very satisfied with the results of the project.
