Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Water Seeping Through Foundation Wall, Concord, NH
A homeowner in Concord, New Hampshire, resides in a house built in the 1890s. They bought the house in mid-2022, without conducting an inspection. In 2023, they noticed water and small animals entering their basement through the foundation wall. They requested EFS for a free inspection of the foundation walls inside the basement. Our Design Specialist, Jason Vachon, met with the homeowner and inspected the basement. He observed a few small voids in the foundation wall that allowed water and critters into the basement. Jason recommended installing PolyLevel Wall Restoration over the interior foundation wall to seal up the voids and prevent further penetration. Jason also suggested replacing the supports in the basement with new lally columns and installing a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to control the humidity inside.
To begin, our team applied 210 sqft of PolyLevel Wall Restoration over the foundation wall to prevent water and critters from entering the basement. We then installed new lally columns in the basement. Initially, we chipped out a few small sections of concrete from the slab to pour strong footings for the new supports. Once the three footings were poured and cured, the team installed the three lally columns and poured more concrete around them to keep them in place. Lastly, we installed the SaniDry Sedona in the basement to regulate the humidity level.
The homeowners were delighted with the project results and no longer have to worry about water or critters entering their basement.
