Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Original Bulkhead to be Replaced, Barrington, NH
A homeowner in Barrington, New Hampshire, built and moved into their home in 1999. Since moving into the home, they noticed water entering the basement from the bulkhead. The concrete that the bulkhead rests on had been eroding and chipping away, which allowed more water to enter the basement. Now almost 25 years later the homeowners would like to find a solution to this problem. They reached out to EFS for a free inspection of their bulkhead. Our Design Specialist Victor Tapia met with the homeowners and talked to them about their concerns. After talking to them about their concerns, Victor inspected the bulkhead and recommended installing a new bulkhead door.
Our Installation Team led by Eric Witham began by removing the old bulkhead door and removing any loose concrete. Next, the team began to assemble the new bulkhead over the foundation wall. We installed it and made sure to seal it between the concrete and bulkhead to prevent any water from leaking into the basement.
The homeowners were pleased with the installation and no longer had to worry about water entering the basement.
