Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Water Seepage into Basement, Somersworth, NH
A homeowner in Somersworth, New Hampshire, had lived in their home for the past 30 years. They have always seen a little bit of seepage in the basement of their home built in 1949. This past year they had seen more water seeping into the basement and they decided they wanted to find a solution. They reached out to EFS for a free inspection of their basement. Our Design Specialist Jason Vachon met with the homeowners and talked with them about their concerns. After talking about the water seeping into the basement, Jason then inspected the basement and after this inspection, he recommended installing a perimeter drainage system complete with CleanSpace on the wall that was allowing the water into the basement.
Our installation team led by Abdou Taal began by chipping out 92' of concrete around the perimeter of the basement to create space for our WaterGuard and SuperSump to be installed. We installed the WaterGuard in the basement and then began installing the CleanSpace on the foundation wall. We tied the CleanSpace system into the perimeter drainage so that any water that comes through the foundation wall will be guided into the perimeter drainage system. Next, the team began plumbing the SuperSump to the exterior of the home. On the outside of the home, the team first installed the IceGuard then we installed 10' of Exterior Drainage Line to carry water away from the foundation of the home. After the drainage system was installed the team mixed up concrete and installed it over the WaterGuard and around the SuperSump to lock them into place. After the concrete cured the team lastly installed our SaniDry Sedona next to the SuperSump so we could control the humidity inside the basement and then discharge the moisture collected into the sump pump basin.
The homeowners were very pleased with the results of the project and no longer have to worry about water entering the basement.
Water Seepage Into Basement
The basement had water entering from the floor and walls.
Concrete Chipped Out
The team chipped out 92' of concrete so we could install our WaterGuard and SuperSump.
Perimeter Drainage and CleanSpace Installed
The team installed the WaterGuard and CleanSpace to collect any water that threatened to enter the basement.
SuperSump and SaniDry
The team installed the SuperSump in the corner of the basement where we could collect any water from the perimeter drainage and pump it outside. The SaniDry will control the moisture in the air and condense it and discharge it into the sump pump basin.
Exterior Drainage Line and IceGuard
We plumbed the sump pump to the exterior of the home and installed an IceGuard and a 10' Exterior Drainage Line.
