Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Moldy Smell Penetrating into Office, Salisbury, MA
A homeowner in Salisbury, Massachusetts, has lived in their home since the mid-90s. Years ago the homeowners had noticed a faint smell in their basement that smelled of mushrooms but didn't do anything about it. Fast forward a couple of years and one of the homeowners works from home and notices the smell in their office. They decided to call EFS for a free home inspection, and our Senior Design Specialist Michael LaMalfa met with the homeowners and inspected the basement. Michael found that water was entering the basement and sitting on the floors and this was causing an odor. After Michael's inspection, he recommended installing a perimeter drainage system near the bulkhead to collect water, a SaniDry Sedona to control the humidity, CleanSpace inside the bulkhead, and an Aspen Air System to cleanse the air in their home.
Our Installation team installed all 5 products into the home to eliminate the odor, cleanse the air, and keep water out of the basement.
