Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Crack Repair, WaterProofing, and Additional Supports Installed in Basement, Topsfield, MA
A previous customer of Northeast Basements System reached out to have a more expansive system installed in their basement. They currently have a TripleSafe installed in the basement with 3' of WaterGuard. To their surprise, when they called they found that NEBS had closed its doors in January 2022. The number they called routed them to EFS and we explained that we do a lot of the same work as NEBS and use the same Basement Systems products. Our customer care team set up an appointment for our Design Specialist Liam FitzPatrick to come to the home and inspect the basement. On the day of the appointment, Liam met with the homeowners and thoroughly inspected the basement. After his inspection was complete, Liam recommended installing WaterGuard, another TripleSafe, IceGuard, Sani Dry Sedona, SmartJacks, Supplemental Beam, and NexusPro into the basement to address all of their concerns.
Our Installation Team led by Anthony Locascio began by chipping out concrete for our perimeter drainage, additional sump pump, and footings for our supports. After all of the concrete was chipped out and the dirt was removed our team installed our 30' of WaterGuard, TripleSafe basin, and the 8 footings of our SmartJacks. After those were installed the team then moved on to plumbing the TripleSafe to the exterior of the home where we installed the 2 IceGuard and the drainage line that will carry the water away from the foundation. We moved back inside the basement to then measure and cut each SmartJack support to size so we can support the floor system. Once all of the supports were cut to the corrected length the team then installed them into the footing and attached out adjustable top to it and secured it to the main beam or to our 8 Supplemental Beam to strengthen the floor system. Next, the team mixed up concrete to pour over the WaterGuard, around the basin of the TripleSafe, and over the SmartJack footings to lock them in place. The last things on the list were to seal 50' of floor cracks in the basement with NexusPro and to install the SaniDry Sedona next to the new TripleSafe.
