Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Crack in Foundation is Leaking, Dracut, MA
This homeowner in Dracut, Massachusetts, has lived in their home since 1995 and hasn't had any water in their basement until about 18 months ago. Around that time there was blasting going on near the home and the homeowners think that the constant blasting had caused a crack to form on the foundation. The homeowners wanted to find a solution to solve this issue so it wouldn't snowball into another issue. They decided to call EFS for a free inspection of the foundation crack. Our Design Specialist Anthony Brancato met with the homeowner and inspected the basement and the foundation crack. After his inspection, Anthony recommended installing FlexiSpan over the crack on the inside of the basement and sealing the crack on the outside of the home.
Our Installation Team led by Branden Edwards, began by cleaning out both sides of the crack. After clearing any debris from the crack the team began to lay our FlexiSpan membrane over the crack. The membrane will allow water to travel through the crack but will not allow it to penetrate into the basement. After the FlexiSpan was installed on the inside of the basement the team then sealed the crack on the outside of the home.
The homeowner was pleased with the results of the project. The crack was no longer leaking water into the basement and was covered by our gray colored FlexiSpan.
