Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Water Entering Basement from Wall and Floor, Marlborough, MA
A resident in Marlborough, Massachusetts has resided in their home for 28 years. They had installed a sump pump previously to combat water entering their basement. However, recently, water was seeping through the walls and floors. The homeowner contacted Erickson Foundation Solutions to conduct a free inspection of their basement and identify the root of the problem. Our Design Specialist/ Service Technician, Justin Colin, assessed the basement with the homeowner and proposed the installation of CleanSpace and WaterGuard to gather water from the walls and floors and channel it into the existing sump pump.
Our Installation Team, led by Branden Edwards, began by creating a 6-inch wide trench against the wall to accommodate our perimeter drainage system. The team placed the drainage into the trench, ensuring that water entering the system would flow to the sump pump. The team then proceeded to install CleanSpace to the foundation wall to collect water from the wall and direct it into the WaterGuard. We used a high-strength tape that is similar in composition to CleanSpace to secure the encapsulation to the wall.
With the wall encapsulated and the perimeter drainage integrated into the sump pump, the homeowner no longer needs to worry about water collecting on the walls or floors.
Before CleanSpace and WaterGuard
Before the CleanSpace and WaterGuard were installed the homeowner had to move any obstruction from the wall.
Obstructions Moved
The washer and dryer were moved away from the work area so our team could begin to install the CleanSpace and WaterGuard.
CleanSpace Installed
The team installed the CleanSpace over the entire wall and integrated it into the WaterGuard System.
WaterGuard and CleanSpace
The team integrated both systems together to protect the basement from water intrusion.
