Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Adding Water Proofing and Pouring New Slab into Basement, Newburyport, MA
A homeowner in Newburyport, Massachusetts, recently purchased their home and was planning on renovating it. The homeowner would like to install a workshop and an area for his train collection in the basement but they didn't like the way the basement looked in its current state. The first on the list of renovations was to demo the old slab in the basement and install waterproofing and pour a new slab. The homeowner decided to call EFS for a free inspection of their basement. The homeowner met with our Design Specialist Kenny and explained their plans and Kenny created a plan of action for our installation team.
Our installation team began by demoing the entire slab and removing all of the debris from the basement. Next, the team installed our WaterGuard around the perimeter of the basement and linked it with our SuperSump. After the waterproofing was installed the team then ordered a concrete truck to deliver and pour concrete into the basement to create the new slab. The team then made sure the concrete was all smoothed and they had to wait for the concrete to cure for a couple of days before coming back to the home to do a final walkthrough.
