Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: RockWell and Egress Window Installed, Bow, New Hampshire
A homeowner in Bow, New Hampshire, wanted to add a bedroom to the basement of their home but they needed to add a window to the basement to be code compliant. They decided to reach out to EFS for a free inspection. Our Design Specialist Victor recommended installing a window and a RockWell. The RockWell is an alternative to installing a bulkhead, so someone could exit the basement in case of an emergency.
Our team began by exposing the foundation wall. Then, the team marked up the concrete so they could remove a section of the wall where we could fit the correct size window. After the concrete was removed, the team framed and installed the window to the foundation wall. Once the window was installed, the team then moved on to installing the RockWell. The team installed the RockWell on the foundation wall and then installed the shade over the top of it.
