Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Replacing Old Sump Pump with New One, North Andover, MA
A homeowner in North Andover, Massachusetts, had a sump pump and perimeter drainage system installed in their home 30 years ago and had no issues until the pump died. The homeowner call EFS to see if we could replace the old sump with a new one. Our Design Specialist Josh inspected the system in the basement and recommended replacing the old sump pump with a new SuperSump and also installing NexusPro to seal 102' of cracks in the basement.
Our installation team began by removing the old sump pump and then installing the new SuperSump into the same hole. Once placed into the hole the team then plumbed the system to the exterior of the home where we installed an IceGuard and an Exterior Drainage Line to carry water away from the foundation of the home. After the system was plumbed the team then mixed concrete and poured it around the base of the SuperSump to lock it in place. Then, the team used NexusPro to seal the 102' of cracks around the slab in the basement.
