Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Newer Home had Water Entering their Basement, Merrimack, NH
A homeowner in Merrimack, New Hampshire finished building their home about 5 years ago. Since living in the home for the past 5 years they have only noticed some water collecting in one corner of their basement. The homeowner wanted to address this issue so it doesn't become a bigger problem. The homeowner decided to call EFS for a free inspection and our Design Specialist Victor recommended installing WaterGuard, TripleSafe, SaniDry, and IceGuard to collect and send water/moisture out of the basement.
Our Installation Team began by chipping out the concrete around the perimeter of the basement so we could install our WaterGuard and TripleSafe. The team first installed the TripleSafe into a basin that is set below the basement slab. They then plumb the system to the exterior of the home where we installed an IceGuard and a 10' Exterior Drainage Line to the outside of the home to send the water away from the home. After the sump pump was installed, the team then moved on to installing 65' of WaterGuard. The team installed the perimeter drainage into its trench and made sure to slope it toward the sump pump. Any water that collects in the drain will flow toward the sump and be pumped outside the home. After the WaterGuard was installed the team performed a water test for both the drainage and the sump pump. The team then mixed up concrete to cover the WaterGuard and around the basin of the TripleSafe. Lastly, the team installed a SaniDry dehumidifier next to the sump pump and installed the discharge line into the sump pump basin.
