Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Waterproof Basement Before Finishing the Space, Arlington, MA
This homeowner in Arlington, Massachusetts, had water periodically entering their basement. The homeowner would like to finish their basement to add more space to their home. Before they finish their basement they would like to find a solution to stop the water from entering their basement. The homeowners decided to call EFS for a free inspection of their basement. Our Design Specialist Tom recommended installing a Perimeter Drainage System which included an UltraSump, 102' of WaterGuard, and 6' of Trench Drain.
Our Installation Team began by chipping out the concrete around the entire perimeter of the basement. While chipping out concrete the team made sure to chip out a basin for our UltraSump. After all of the concrete was chipped out the team then plumbed the UltraSump to the exterior of the home. The team installed an IceGuard and an Exterior Drainage Line to the exterior of the home to expel the water collected from the sump pump away from the home. After the UltraSump was installed, the team installed the WaterGuard and Trench Drain around the perimeter of the basement. We connected the WaterGuard and Trench Drain to the UltraSump and tested the entire system before mixing concrete over perimeter drainage and around the basin of the UltraSump.
Now the homeowner has a basement that will no longer leak and will be dry all the time, so they could finish the basement to add more usable space to their home.
