A homeowner in Newington, New Hampshire, had water entering their garage and threatening to damage personal items in the garage. Water had been entering from the joints in the concrete floor. The homeowner doesn't want the water to ruin anything in their basement so they decided to reach out to EFS for a free inspection. Our Design Specialist Jason recommended installing WaterGuard, a SuperSump, and NexusPro in the garage to prevent water from collecting on the floor.
Our production team began chipping out concrete on the right wall of the garage to install the WaterGuard so it can collect water and direct it to the sump pump. After the WaterGuard and SuperSump were installed the team then covered them in a thin layer of concrete to conceal them. Next, the team plumbed the sump pump and installed the drainage line to the exterior of the garage. Once the entire system was set up the team then used NexusPro to seal the joints in the concrete. The NexusPro will prevent water from seeping onto the garage floors.
SuperSump, WaterGuard, and NexusPro Installed
The team outfitted the garage with WaterGuard to collect water, a SuperSump to expel the water outside, and NexusPro to prevent water from seeping through the joists in the concrete.
WaterGuard Connected to SuperSump
The team linked the WaterGuard and SuperSump together so the system could expel any water collected.
SuperSump and WaterGuard Covered in Concrete
The team covered the sump pump and WaterGuard with a thin layer of concrete to prevent any tripping hazards.
IceGuard Installed
The team installed an IceGuard at the beginning of the drainage line.
Drainage Pipe
The team buried the drainage line at a minimum of 10' away from the home.
