On October 8th, 2021, our Erickson team came together to donate materials and volunteer time to help restore a section of Benson Park in Hudson, NH. The park is a special place in our town, and we're proud to be able to give back to our local community. This day was also a great team bonding event.
The old stone retaining wall behind Benson's a-frame picnic area was crumbling and becoming unsafe to park visitors. The park's volunteer care takers did not have the time or resources to restore it, and so our Erickson team was happy to complete this project for them.
Benson Park is a 166-acre, passive recreational spot open to the general public and is the pride of the local residents. Full of rich history, Benson Park was once home to "Benson's Wild Animal Farm", opened in 1924. Today the park is maintained by the Department of Public Works with help from a dedicated group of volunteers. The park is open daily with seasonal closing times.
