Radon Extraction Point
An extraction point was made in the foundation floor of the basement to allow for radon drawn out from underneath the home. PVC pipe was fit to the extraction point and channeled to the exterior of the home.
Radon Fan
Once PVC pipe extended to the outside of the home, the radon fan was installed to it. The radon fan safely draws radon gas from underneath the home's foundation, preventing it from seeping into the home. Additional VC pipe was then installed to the fan and surpassed the roofline to prevent reentry to and windows or other openings. The aesthetic package was installed to the radon fan to create a sleeker look on the side of the home.
Open Sump Basin Exposing Radon
The sump pump installed in the home did not have a sealed lid on it. This can be potentially harmful for homes that are exposed to radon, as the radon gas can more easily seep up through the exposed area.
Custom Sump Pump Cover
Our installation crew configured a custom fit sump pump lid to the sump pump to prevent radon from being able to enter the basement. Now, the homeowner can rest assured knowing that the home is permanently protected from radon gas.
