Radon Extraction Point
An extraction point was created in the foundation floor of the basement to allow access for radon to be removed from the soil. PVC pipe was then fit to the extraction point and configured to the outside of the home.
Radon Fan
As the PVC pipe reaches the exterior of the home, the radon fan is then installed to it. The radon fan is designed to draw radon from within the soil underneath the home's foundation without allow the gas to be exposed to the home. Additional PVC pipe is then run from the radon fan and surpasses the roofline to ensure safe removal of the radon gas.
Radon Monometer
The radon monometer gives the homeowner peace of mind that the system is operating correctly. When the arrow on the monometer is within the green space, this indicates that the radon mitigation system is drawing the correct amount to keep the home safe from radon gas.
