Moldy Fielstone Foundation Wall in Basement
Water intrusion through the fieldstone foundation wall led to mold growth and an annoying cleanup process for these homeowners. Personal items stored in the basement were also put at risk of getting damaged.
Perimeter Drainage System and Wall Encapsulation
CleanSpace was installed to the fieldstone walls to encapsulate the space. This prevented moisture from accessing the basement, as the water is collected directly into our WaterGuard perimeter drainage system.
Basement Sump Pump and Dehumidifier
Once water is collected by the WaterGuard system, it is channeled to the TripleSafe Sump Pump. This sump pump system features three pumps, including a battery-powered backup pump, to ensure water can be removed at all times. The SaniDry Sedona XP was then installed to further protect against humidity, preventing mold growth and wood rot while providing healthy air to create a comfortable basement environment.
Discharge Line
Water is removed from the home through a discharge line. To prevent backups, IceGuard is installed as the discharge line reaches the exterior of the home. A bubbler pot is fixed to the end of the discharge line and sits within crushed stone to facilitate proper drainage into the lawn, therefore preventing water from accumulating on the surface.
