Failing Concrete Support Column
These old brick support columns were unable to support the above floors, creating sagging and a lack of structural integrity.
Foundation for SmartJacks
Our crew started work on the project by chipping out areas of the foundation floor where the SmartJacks are intended to be installed. Rebar is put in these sections to add support when concrete is poured in them.
Temporary Support Jacks
Temporary support jacks were installed as we removed the old columns, ensuring that the floors above the basement are supported throughout the installation of SmartJacks.
Installing New Support Posts
The SmartJack galvanized steel plates are put in place where the foundation floor was chipped out. The steel posts were then attached to the plate, and adjusted to the support beams above.
Adjustable Support Column
The SmartJack system is adjustable, which provides a long-lasting solution for floor stabilization.
Support Columns Cemented in Foundation
To provide the ultimate support, the SmartJacks are cemented in the foundation. They are all lifted to the same height, creating stable, level floors.
