Flooded Crawl Space
A flooded crawl space, often due to a malfunctioning sump pump, endangers utilities. It also creates conditions conducive to musty odors, mold proliferation, and various other issues.
Perimeter of Crawl Space Chipped Out
Concrete was removed from the foundation of the crawl space to make room for the installation of WaterGuard.
Crawl Space Vapor Barrier Installed
CleanSpace has been installed on the crawl space foundation walls to block moisture infiltration. This measure prevents mold growth, reduces humidity, and fosters a healthier living environment within the entire house.
Floor Stabilization and Drainage Matting
SmartJacks have been installed in the foundation of the crawl space, extending to a supplemental beam to provide stability and lift to the floors above. Drainage matting has been placed under the CleanSpace vapor barrier, enabling collected moisture to be directed into the WaterGuard system.
Entrance Surface Drainage
Our TrenchDrain surface drainage system has been installed at the entrance of the crawl space to capture any water entering through this point. It is connected to the WaterGuard system, forming a unified pathway that channels water directly to the sump pump.
Crawl Space Sump Pump
Following the installation of the WaterGuard and SmartJack systems, they were secured with cement. The UltraSump sump pump system was positioned at the lowest part of the crawl space to facilitate efficient water flow into the system. When water accumulates in the basin, the pump is triggered to evacuate water from the premises. Additionally, the UltraSump is equipped with a battery backup pump, providing assurance against flooding in the crawl space during a power failure.
Crawl Space Dehumidifier
The installation of the SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier aimed to remove moisture from the crawl space. Following a basement flood, it became crucial to address moisture-related issues, including mold growth, wood rot, and other potential problems.
Preventing Lawn Puddling and Frozen Discharge Lines
Water is expelled from the home via a discharge line. IceGuard was installed on the exterior discharge line to prevent freezing. The discharge line runs underground at two separate points, and a bubbler pot is placed at the end of one section to avoid water accumulation on the lawn's surface.
SoakAway Installation
At the termination point of the discharge line, we installed our SoakAway system. This system efficiently disperses water into the surrounding soil, guaranteeing optimal operation of the discharge line.
