Failing Foundation Wall
This foundation wall was experiencing the third stage of wall failure, characterized by horizontal cracking, stair-step cracking, and shearing along the bottom portion of the wall.
PowerBrace Wall Repair System with Rebar
The PowerBrace System served as the primary support for the auxiliary wall. The 'I beams' were affixed to joists and anchored into the foundation floor, forming a uniform barrier along the bowing wall. Rebar was interlaced with these beams to further enhance stability.
Auxiliary Wall Forms
The auxiliary wall forms were subsequently positioned, acting as a barrier for the curing concrete. Wooden posts were strategically wedged against the forms to provide support and prevent any movement from the weight of the concrete.
Building an Auxiliary Wall Around a Water Line
Our team successfully installed the auxiliary wall despite the presence of a water line along the foundation wall.
Sump Pump System Installed
The TripleSafe Sump Pump system gathers water in its basin located beneath the foundation floor. As the basin fills, the TripleSafe's trio of pumps guarantees continuous water evacuation from the home, including during power outages, courtesy of its battery-powered backup pump.
Auxiliary Wall and Sump Pump Finished Installation
Once the concrete has cured, the forms are removed, revealing a robust auxiliary wall. The basement is now structurally sound and will remain dry all the time!
