Basement Drainage Preparation
The concrete around the perimeter of the basement was removed to create space for the installation of WaterGuard.
WaterGuard Finished Install
WaterGuard gathers water from the wet soil surrounding it before it reaches the basement. This collected water is then directed to the sump pump. The system is installed within crushed stone and then cemented to ensure efficient drainage and a seamless finish.
Basement Surface Drainage
In locations where WaterGuard installation is not feasible, TrenchDrain is employed. This surface drainage system was used to divert water away from the utilities. It integrates with the WaterGuard system, ensuring a seamless flow of water towards the sump pump.
Surface Drainage in Front of Bulkhead Stairs
TrenchDrain is also used to collect water at door entrances. We have installed TrenchDrain at the base of the bulkhead stairs in this basement.
Sump Pump and Wall Encapsulation Installation
CleanSpace serves as a vapor barrier, protecting the basement from moisture penetration through the foundation walls, thereby enhancing the comfort of the living space. Moisture captured by CleanSpace is channeled into the WaterGuard system. The TripleSafe sump pump system features three pumps, one of which is battery-operated to provide a backup, ensuring continuous water removal from the home, even in the event of a power failure.
Basement Dehumidifier
The installation of the SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier is afurther reduces moisture in the basement. With the homeowners planning to finish the basement, this robust dehumidifier will help prevent mold growth and enhance air quality, transforming the basement into a more comfortable living area.
Frozen Discharge Line Prevention
IceGuard was attached to the exterior portion of the discharge line to stop the lines from freezing, which prevents the sump pump from backing up and thus avoids flooding in the basement.
Discharge Line Burial with Bubbler Pot
A bubbler pot was attached to the end of the discharge line to prevent water from accumulating on the lawn. Subsequently, the discharge line was buried to maintain the home's aesthetic appeal.
