Preparing for Interior Basement Drainage
To install the WaterGuard system, our installation team removed the lower section of drywall and chiseled out concrete along the foundation's perimeter.
Preparing to Tie Drainage System Into Existing Sump Pump
While the current sump pump has not been able to capture all the water infiltrating the foundation, integrating it with our perimeter drainage system will significantly enhance its effectiveness.
WaterGuard Finished Installation
The WaterGuard system is installed within a bed of crushed stone and secured with cement after testing. It is engineered to intercept water at the foundation's perimeter, preventing it from entering the basement, and directing it towards the sump pump.
Perimeter Drainage Added to Sump Pump
The WaterGuard system is integrated with the existing sump pump. Considering the basement's large size, this additional sump pump will assist in managing the water from the high water table effectively.
TripleSafe Sump Pump
The TripleSafe Sump Pump offers three layers of protection against basement water accumulation, featuring a primary pump, a secondary pump, and a battery-operated backup pump. Installing this system ensures that homeowners can rest assured that water will be consistently evacuated from their property, even in the event of a power failure.
Interior Discharge Line
A discharge line serves as the conduit through which water is expelled from the home. The plumbing is designed to run along the foundation wall and then out of the basement, releasing water at the specified location.
Safely Removing Water from the Home with IceGuard
Once the discharge line is plumbed to the exterior of the home, IceGuard is installed to prevent water from freezing in the pipes. This gives the homeowner peace of mind that their system will not get backed up in the wintertime, further guaranteeing that the basement stays dry.
