Basement Concrete Chipping
Concrete is jackhammered along the perimeter of the basement to allow space for the WaterGuard system.
Concrete Removal
Once the concrete is chipped, it is fully removed.
Perimeter Drainage Installation
The WaterGuard system rests in crushed stone to allow water to properly flow to the sump basin. This photo demonstrates WaterGuard being installed around obstacles.
Surface Drainage
There are some areas where WaterGuard is inaccessible. For this basement, TrenchDrain surface drainage was installed to reroute water around the furnace. This system connects to WaterGuard to continue the flow of water to the sump basin.
Sump Basin
This photo demonstrates how high the water table was for this basement. As soon as the sump basin was constructed, water completely filled it.
Feed Line to Sump Pump
A feed line was installed between the two sump pumps to ensure that water is evenly distributed. This maximizes efficiency. It is also important to note that once the systems are installed, they are cemented in place.
Exterior Discharge Line
Here is a photo of our crew installing the exterior discharge line. This plumbing system is the vessel that allows water to exit the home to a safe location. Our crew is installing IceGuard to the discharge line to prevent frozen pipes.
