Photo Album: Cracked Basement Wall Repair in Billerica, MA
A homeowner in Billerica, Massachusetts was concerned with water entering her basement. Water would leak through cracks in the foundation, resulting in the basement constantly being wet. These cracks were patched years ago, but settlement has caused them to get worse over time. Looking to keep the basement dry all the time, she reached out to Erickson Foundation Solutions.
Our Design Specialist, Bryan Barnard, recommended installing GeoLock wall anchors to stabilize the foundation walls. The homeowner didn't realize that the wall cracks showed signs of wall failure. Steel plates were installed to the problem areas on the inside wall and attached to anchors in durable soil outside of the home. This stabilized the wall and added additional support to the home. Once the wall anchor system was installed, our installation crew installed FlexiSpan to repair the wall cracks. This sealant is a long-term solution that prevents crack leaks and won't reopen like mortar-based repairs.
With the installation complete, the basement will not only stay dry, but the structure of the foundation is now permanently stabilized.
