Photo Album: Basement Flood Prevention in Candia, NH
A homeowner in Candia, New Hampshire had experienced leaks in their foundation coming in through walls and floor. This occurs every time there is heavy rain. As a result, mold growth has started. Looking to avoid a basement flood and maintain property value, she reached out to Erickson Foundation Solutions.
Our Design Specialist, Anthony Brancato, recommended installing WaterGuard perimeter drainage, Trench Drain surface drainage, TripleSafe sump pump system, and SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. This waterproofing system collects water safely along the perimeter of the basement and filters it to the sump pump. The sump pump then removes the water out of the home through an exterior discharge line. The SaniDry Sedona eliminates moisture to create a cleaner and healthier air space.
This eliminates the fears of flooding that the homeowner had. The basement will now stay dry all the time.
Interior French Drain
The WaterGuard system is installed along the perimeter of the basement to capture water from outside of the foundation. It is set in crushed stone to ensure downward flow to the sump basin.
Basement Surface Drainage
WaterGuard is inaccessible in certain areas such as stairs, oil tanks, and more. This basement needed TrenchDrain to be installed to divert water past the staircase. The TrenchDrain system connects to WaterGuard to continue the flow of water to the sump pump.
Sump Pump and Dehumidifier
The Triplesafe sump pump system gathers all the water from the WaterGuard system and pumps it out of the home through the discharge line. This three-pump system has the capability to pump large amounts of water out of the home at all times. The battery-powered backup pump ensures your basement will stay dry even during a power outage.
