"French Drain" Perimeter Drainage
Concrete along the perimeter of the foundation is chipped out in order to make space for the WaterGuard system. This system rests within crushed stone in order to provide proper flow to the sump pump. Once installed, it is cemented in place.
Preventing Wet Walls
This area of the foundation was more prone to water seepage through the wall. CleanSpace vapor barrier was installed to prevent moisture. By filtering the moisture to the WaterGuard system, the basement is protected from mold, which can create a musty smell and uncomfortable living space.
Three-Pump Sump System
Our TripleSafe sump pump system is guaranteed to always pump unwanted water out of the basement. The three-pump system ensures protection in the event of high water levels and power outages.
Discharge System
In order for water to be removed from the home, a plumbing system must be installed to the TripleSafe. The exterior discharge line was connected to the sump pump and buried in the ground in a safe location away from the home. This prevents water from cycling back to the outside perimeter of the foundation. IceGuard was also installed to the discharge line in order to prevent frozen pipes during freezing temperatures. This prevents the pipes from getting backed up and potentially flooding the basement.
