This homeowner is building a home office in her basement. With clients entering the building, she wants to provide an attractive space. She reached out to Erickson Foundation Solutions to inspect the basement and make sure she was set up for success. Our Design Specialist recommended installing a new egress window to allow more light into the basement. This was also important because building codes require that finished basement living areas must have an emergency egress. This is a window large enough to allow safe exit out of the space in case of an emergency. Our installation crew installed the window, along with a RockWell egress window well and well duct. This well allows safe escape access in the event of an emergency and feature durable, built in steps. The well duct offers an attractive finish to the well and prevents debris from dirtying the space.
With the window and well system installed, this homeowner is ready to open her new office while ensuring the safety of her clients!
