Photo Album: Preventing Moisture in Crawlspace, Hillsborough, NH
A homeowner in Hillsborough, New Hampshire, purchased their home 17 years ago. About a year ago they noticed a musty smell and were having some allergic reactions. They reached out to EFS to have them inspect the crawlspace under their home. They believe that the vapor barrier was compromised so our Design Specialist looked at it while testing the moisture levels inside the crawlspace. Our Specialist found that the entire crawlspace wasn't encapsulated and the moisture levels were around 54%. We recommended encapsulating the entire crawlspace with CleanSpace and also installing a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier to control the humidity.
Our installation team began by removing the old vapor barrier and then began installing our new CleanSpace Encapsulation. Once the team installed over 800 sqft of CleanSpace we then installed our SaniDry Sedona and fed the discharge line to the exterior of the crawlspace. With the crawlspace now encapsulated and dehumidified the homeowners don't have to worry about musty smells and allergens entering from their crawlspace.
The team cleaned up the job site and showed the homeowner everything that was installed. Our team answered any questions asked by the homeowner before leaving.
