A homeowner in Woburn, Massachusetts, has lived in their home for the past 3 years. Over the last two years, they have noticed some water in their basement and decided to call a few companies for waterproofing quotes. After multiple quotes from other companies in their area, the homeowners chose to use EFS because of the cost and honesty through our inspection process. To prevent water from entering the basement we recommended installing a full perimeter drainage system into the basement to prevent water from entering the basement.
Our installation team began by chipping out concrete around the entire perimeter of the basement. Chipping out the perimeter will allow us to install our perimeter drainage and sump pump. After removing the concrete, we installed our TripleSafe basin and our pumps so we could pump out any water while we worked on the rest of the system. We fed the discharge line to the exterior of the home. After the pump was in, we installed over 100 feet of perimeter drainage around the basement to integrate the drainage to the sump so we could collect any water pump outside the home. With the drainage system in place, we then installed our 10-foot exterior drainage line so we could carry water away from the foundation. Next, we mixed up concrete and poured it over the drainage and around the sump pump basin to lock the system into place.
When the project was complete and the site was cleaned up the team did a walkthrough with the homeowners to show them everything that was installed. The homeowners were very pleased with the results of the project.
