Photo Album: Water Damaging Basement, Manchester, NH
A homeowner in Manchester, New Hampshire, purchased their 1950s home 3 years ago. The most recent rainstorm had caused damage to the finished floors and caused mold in the basement. The water was pooling in the basement and damaged many items in their finished basement. The homeowners would like to find a solution before refinishing the space. The homeowners called EFS for a free basement inspection to find a solution to their water problem. Our Design Specialist Josh Phillips met with the homeowners and took a detailed look at the basement to find which one of our solutions would be best for this situation. Josh found that one corner of the basement was where the water was entering. Josh recommended installing 16 feet of WaterGuard, 10 feet of TrenchDrain, a TripleSafe, two IceGuard, and 15 feet of Exterior Drainage Line.
Our installation team led by Anthony LoCascio began by chipping out concrete for our perimeter drainage and sump pump installation. Once the concrete was chipped out and the debris was removed we installed the WaterGuard, TrenchDrain, and TripleSafe. All three systems will be integrated to allow the water from either of the drainage systems to flow into the basin of the TripleSafe. Once integrated the team installed the pumps inside the basin and plumbed them to the exterior of the home where we installed our IceGuards and EDL. Once the drainage line was constructed and buried in the yard the team then returned to the basement to encase the system in concrete to lock it in place.
Since the homeowners had the system installed they haven't seen any water at all in their basement!
