Photo Album: Water Leaking for 20 Years, Dracut, MA
A homeowner in Dracut, Massachusetts has been living in their house since 1988. In that time, they have noticed water entering their basement through two cracks. Initially, it was a small amount of water, but over time, the problem worsened. Now, the homeowner describes it as gallons of water entering the basement. After 20 years of enduring this issue, the homeowner decided to call EFS and request a free inspection of their basement. Our Design Specialist, Nikki Burke, inspected the basement and recommended installing 2 FlexiSpans, a crack monitor, and NexusPro Crack Repair.
Our Installation Team, led by Steven Dumais, began by cleaning out the two cracks in the basement that were allowing water in. After cleaning the cracks, we chipped out the bottom of the wall to create a drain for the water. Then, we installed the FlexiSpan membrane over the crack and down to the floor. This allows the water to travel down the crack to the drain and flow beneath the home, keeping water out of the basement. Next, the team installed a Crack Monitor on the top of the crack to monitor its activity. Lastly, the team installed 40 feet of NexusPro Crack Repair to the slab's cracks.
The homeowner was pleased with the project's results and how quickly our team completed the installation.
