Photo Album: Water Entering Through Basement Windows, Manchester, NH
A homeowner in Manchester, New Hampshire has been living in their home since the late 1970s. Last year, they noticed water entering their basement and since they plan to sell their home in about two years, they wanted to find a solution to prevent any storage items from getting damaged due to water seepage. They reached out to EFS to schedule a free inspection of their foundation. Our Design Specialist, Jason Vachon, met with the homeowners and inspected the interior and exterior of the basement to locate the source of water entering through the basement window.
Jason recommended adding SunHouse Enclosures to each of the six basement windows to prevent water from seeping through. Our Installation Team, led by Gunther Billhardt, began the installation process by removing any obstructions in front of the windows and digging down a few inches below the window to install the SunHouse Enclosure. They made sure to install crushed stone under the enclosure to allow water to disperse and flow away from the house. For a couple of those enclosures, the team removed concrete or asphalt, and after the SunHouses were installed, they poured new concrete and asphalt where needed.
The homeowners were delighted with the results of the project and satisfied with the service provided by EFS.
