Photo Album: Minor Water Seeping onto Finished Basement Floor, Somerville, MA
A homeowner in Somerville, Massachusetts bought a house around four years ago. Recently, they noticed some minor water seepage in their finished basement. To learn about their options, they reached out to Erickson Foundation Solutions. They scheduled a meeting with our Design Specialist, Tom Armano, who inspected their basement and suggested a perimeter drainage system. However, the homeowner didn't want to install a full drainage system since the seepage was minor. As an alternative, Tom recommended our ThermalDry Basement Flooring, which resembles regular flooring but has built-in drainage and a thermal barrier and is not damaged by moisture or mold. The homeowner liked this proposal and decided to have us install ThermalDry Flooring in their basement.
Our installation team started by removing the wooden floors that had been damaged by the seeping water and then installed ThermalDry over the concrete slab. The flooring comes in planks that snap together and allow water to drain. The homeowner was happy with the drainage system installed.

Installing ThermalDry Flooring
