A homeowner in Lee, New Hampshire had been living in their home for over 30 years. However, during winters they found that the floors in their home were cold and bouncy. They contacted EFS for a free home inspection by their Design Specialist, Anthony Brancato. During the inspection of the basement and crawlspace, Anthony noticed that the area was cool and the lally columns and brick supports did not provide adequate support to the floor system. Based on his observations, Anthony recommended installing CleanSpace, Drainage Matting, and SilverGlo to insulate the basement and crawlspace. He also suggested replacing the supports with SmartJacks to add support to the aging floor system. Lastly, he suggested installing a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to control the humidity in that area.
After the proposal was created, the installation team led by Anthony LoCascio began by removing any debris in the basement and crawlspace. Then, they proceeded to install 6 SmartJacks throughout the basement and crawlspace. After the jacks were installed, they installed 609 square feet of Drainage Matting and CleanSpace to create a vapor barrier over the floor and walls. Lastly, they installed 550 square feet of SilverGlo insulation around the crawlspace. The team then installed the SaniDry Sedona to control the humidity.
The homeowner was very satisfied with the results of the project. They no longer have to worry about the floor system bouncing or cold floors during winter.
CrawlSpace Before
The crawlspace and basement lacked insulation and proper support.
Added Insulation and Support
The team installed CleanSpace, Drainage Matting, SilverGlo, and SmartJacks to address cold and bouncy floors.
SaniDry Sedona
The last item we installed was a SaniDry Sedona to control the humidity down in the basement/crawlspace.
