Photo Album: Protect Forever Home From Water Intrusion, Nashua, NH

A homeowner in Nashua, New Hampshire has lived in their home since 1979 and plans to stay there forever. They noticed water seeping into the basement level of their split-level home, which could potentially cause damage to it. To ensure that they could live there for the rest of their lives, they contacted Erickson Foundation Solutions to inspect their basement and garage to find a permanent solution.  Our Design Specialist, Josh Phillips, met with the homeowners and listened to their issues. After evaluating the situation, Josh suggested installing a perimeter drainage system with two TripleSafes; one for the garage and one for the basement to collect water and pump it outside. Additionally, he recommended installing 54 feet of WaterGuard along the perimeter of the basement and garage to feed water into the pumps. Lastly, we suggested installing an IceGuard, Exterior Drainage, and a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier to remove water and moisture from inside the basement/garage. Our installation team, led by Abdou Taal, began by chipping out concrete in the basement and garage to install our drainage and sump pumps. Once that was done, the team installed our perimeter drainage and sump pumps into both the garage and basement. After that, they plumbed both the pumps to the exterior of the home where we installed our IceGuard system to prevent water from backing up in case of a blocked drainage line. Connected to that system is our Exterior Drainage Line which will carry the water away from the foundation of the home. After burying the drainage line out behind the home, the team returned to cover the perimeter drainage and around the sump pumps with concrete to lock them into place. Lastly, we installed the Sanidry Sedona Dehumidifier next to our sump pump in the basement to control the moisture levels. The homeowners were delighted with the outcome of the project. They no longer have to worry about water coming into their forever home's garage and basement.
