Photo Album: Concrete Walkway Repairs, North Attleboro, MA
The aggregate concrete walkway leading up to the front entrance of this home in North Attleboro, MA was in good shape on the surface, however it had settled in various locations and was uneven. Where the concrete met the stairs to the front door, the slab had sunk almost two inches, and so the first step up was too high. The homeowner wanted to have a safe place for family and friends to enter the home, and so chose our Erickson team and our PolyLevel concrete lifting solution to make the repairs.
Utilizing slab jacks to help control the lift and prevent unwanted cracking, our repair specialists were successfully able to lift the walkway in the locations needed. With the concrete lifted and free from obstructions, PolyLevel polymer foam was then injected through tiny portholes in the surface and into the voids beneath the slabs. With the voids filled and the concrete stabilized, the walkway and entrance were level and safe again. The homeowner was able to use their walkway within minutes of job completion, and was pleased to have a safe entrance to their home without having to worry about settled concrete.
Uneven Concrete Walkway
The concrete adjoining the bottom step to the front door of the home had settled a couple inches over the span of just 4-5 feet. This meant the first step was too high. The homeowner wanted a solution to lift the concrete without having to tear out or replace the sidewalk.
Concrete Walkway Repair
Our team is able to lift and level the settled concrete without having to demolish or remove any of the existing material. This saves the homeowner time and money.
PolyLevel Injection
After injecting the PolyLevel foam through the portholes on the surface, the settled concrete raised right up. The extra material and residue on the surface will be cleaned up before the crew leaves. The process required no demolition of concrete.
PolyLevel Process
The slabjacks help relieve any pressure that may be holding the concrete slab down in the void. The PolyLevel is then injected into the voids and is able to lift the concrete without resistance, which helps avoid cracking during the repairs.
