Photo Album: Floor Sagging in Home Built in 1776, Kingston, NH
A homeowner in Kingston, New Hampshire, had purchased a home built in 1776. When the home was inspected before the purchase was finalized the inspector found no sills and the floor system settling. After the sale of the home, the homeowner decided to call EFS for a free inspection of their floors and basement. Our Design Specialist Bryan Barnard met with the homeowner and talked about their concerns. Next, he inspected the home and recommended installing 12 SmartJacks to support the floor system and 75' of Sill Plate Replacement Carpentry.
Our Installation Team led by Eric Witham began by first installing our 12 SmartJacks into the basement to stabilize and level the floor system of the 200+ year-old home. We used our big footings and installed them onto the dirt-floored basement. Once installed our team then installed 75 linear feet of Sill Plate.
The homeowner was very pleased with the results of their project.
