Photo Album: Supports on Back of Home are Rusting and Failing, Nottingham, NH

This homeowner in Nottingham, New Hampshire, purchased their home in 2022. The house was built in 1940 on the side of the lake. The land that the home rests on slopes considerably toward the water. On the back of the home, there is a small two-floor addition and a deck that was added to the home. The supports holding up the deck and the branch were settling and the homeowner would like to have someone look at the foundation to recommend a solution. The homeowners found Erickson Foundation Solutions and they called them to set up a free inspection of their foundation. Our Design Specialist Jared Pavluvcik met with the homeowners and talked about their concerns. After their conversation, Jared inspected the foundation of the home and recommended installing 7 Helical Piers and encasing them in an Auxiliary Foundation Wall to lock them in place.  Our Installation Team led by Neal Foley began by adding temporary supports to the back of the home so we could remove the old and rusted supports. After the supports were removed the team then began installing our Helical Piers on the back of the home. After all of the piers were installed and attached to the foundation we then began setting up our forms for our Auxiliary Foundation Wall. Next, the team called in a concrete truck to fill up the forms with concrete. The team then had to wait for the concrete to cure before removing the forms of the new Auxiliary Wall.
