Photo Album: Rock and Brick Foundation Bowing Outward, Concord, NH

This homeowner in Concord, New Hampshire, lives in a home built in the early 1900s. They moved into the home in September 2021 and since moving in they have noticed that their foundation wall was bowing outward. They became concerned with how much the wall was pushing outward so they reached out to a foundation repair company with a proven track record. The homeowners scheduled an appointment with EFS to have our Design Specialist Jason Vachon inspect the foundation of the home. After talking to the homeowners and inspecting the foundation, Jason recommended installing an Auxiliary Wall.  Our Installation Team led by Nick Carelli began by removing any debris from in front of the wall so we could pour a footing for our Aux Wall. After the footing was poured and hardened the team then was able to start installing our PowerBraces which will attach to the footing and then to the floor system above using a bracket system depending on which way the floor joists were moving. Next, the team installed rebar through each PowerBrace and then they began to set up our concrete forms so we could pour the new wall. Then we called a concrete truck to deliver concrete. The concrete truck filled up concrete to the top of the forms and the team had to wait for the concrete to fully cure before removing the forms. After the concrete was fully cured, the team removed the forms and trimmed off any imperfections.
